Game Maker, YoYo Games and Mismanagement

Very interesting post about those:
Anna Anthropy on Game Maker and game making: Who gets to make videogames? | Seven Stories Press

I couldn't agree more. Back when Game Maker was not from YoYo Games, it was awesome, but then with every update it became worse, slower and more incompatible. An example is the EXE encryption - up to GM6, the games ran fine even in Mac or Linux. Then YoYo Games came, went like "lolol let's make filesize bigger, loading times longer, just so we have a new encryption in the EXEs which will not be broken for three whole days" and here we are.
I want you Game Maker guys to at least try Stencyl, which is linked in the post. It outputs games as Flash files, which can be played by anyone having Adobe Flash. Even on Mac, Linux, and Winsuck XP and older. Even on your Wii, even though you can just use the mouse then.

Ludum Dare!

So I'll be participating in Ludum Dare #21 this weekend. This is a competition where you have to make a game in 48 hours, from scratch. That means code, graphics and music - all made by yourself, in these 2 days. When I did that the last two times I've hardly made any sketches, so this time I'll try to make some and upload them somewhere.
Anyone else going to participate? :D

In other news, my new tablet pen finally arrived after my old one broke. Now I can finally do stuff again!
